These Terms govern access to shipchandlerafrica.com and the submission of marine supply enquiries, requisitions and quotation requests through the website.

1. About Ship Chandler Africa
Ship Chandler Africa operates this website as a business-to-business marine supply and ship chandling platform for vessel operators, ship managers, purchasing departments, charterers, agents and other maritime professionals seeking supplies or related services at African ports.
2. Website Information
The information published on this website is provided for general commercial and informational purposes. Port availability, product availability, delivery arrangements, prices, customs procedures and local operational conditions may change without notice.
Information on a port or service page should not be interpreted as an unconditional guarantee that every listed product or service is available at every port at all times.
3. Requests for Quotation
Users may submit vessel requirements through the RFQ forms or by e-mail. An RFQ is a request for commercial information and does not by itself create a binding purchase contract.
A commercial transaction becomes binding only after the relevant quotation, order, confirmation, invoice, purchase order or other commercial documentation has been accepted by the applicable parties.
4. Vessel and Requisition Information
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and sufficiently detailed information, including where applicable:
- Vessel name and IMO number or call sign
- Port of delivery
- Estimated time of arrival
- Product descriptions and quantities
- Technical specifications
- Preferred manufacturers or brands
- Part numbers, drawings or IMPA references
- Any special delivery or operational requirements
Ship Chandler Africa is not responsible for delays, incorrect sourcing or additional costs caused by incomplete, inaccurate or late information supplied by the requesting party.
5. Pricing and Availability
Unless expressly stated otherwise in a quotation, website content does not constitute a fixed-price offer.
Prices and availability may depend on local market conditions, currency movements, supplier availability, quantities, specification, customs requirements, transportation costs, berth or anchorage access and the vessel's delivery schedule.
6. Port Delivery
Delivery arrangements are subject to the operational conditions of the relevant port, terminal, berth, anchorage and local authorities.
Launch services, boat deliveries, terminal access, customs clearance, agency coordination or other third-party services may be subject to additional charges and separate conditions.
7. Controlled and Restricted Products
Certain products, including bonded stores, chemicals, gases, refrigerants, safety equipment or other controlled materials, may be subject to customs, licensing, transport, safety or local regulatory requirements.
Availability is therefore subject to applicable laws, port requirements and supplier capabilities.
8. Third-Party Suppliers and Service Providers
Marine supply operations may require coordination with local suppliers, transport providers, port agents, launch operators, technicians and other third-party service providers.
Where third-party services form part of an order, applicable commercial conditions may also depend on those providers.
9. Delivery Times
Any estimated procurement or delivery time is provided based on the information and operational conditions available at the time.
Vessel schedule changes, port congestion, customs procedures, weather, supplier shortages, transport restrictions and other circumstances outside reasonable control may affect delivery.
10. Website Availability
We aim to keep the website available and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, technical problems, hosting issues or external network conditions may temporarily affect availability.
11. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, website text, layout, branding and original website materials are owned by or used with permission by Ship Chandler Africa.
Website content may not be copied, reproduced or commercially redistributed without prior permission, except where permitted by applicable law.
12. Limitation of Website Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Ship Chandler Africa will not be liable solely because a user relied on general website information instead of obtaining a port-specific quotation or written operational confirmation.
Any liability relating to an actual supply transaction will be governed by the applicable quotation, order confirmation, invoice, contract and mandatory law.
13. Acceptable Use
Users must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with website operation, submit malicious code, impersonate another party or use the contact systems for unlawful purposes.
14. Privacy
Personal information submitted through the website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
15. Cookies
Information about cookies and similar website technologies is available in our Cookie Policy.
16. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated when the website, services or applicable requirements change. The current version published on this page applies to website use from the stated update date.
17. Applicable Commercial Terms
Specific quotations, purchase orders, invoices, confirmations or negotiated agreements may contain additional or different commercial terms. Where there is a conflict concerning an actual transaction, the specifically agreed commercial documentation will take precedence to the extent permitted by applicable law.
